About

Olde North Charleston Neighborhood is in the Park Circle area of North Charleston, SC.  The neighborhood boundaries are Virginia Avenue in the east and run west along East Montague Ave. to near Park Circle, along the southernly route of the Circle and south down Durant Avenue to Bexley Street where it runs east to Spruill Ave. and down Spruill Ave and St Johns Avenue ending at McMillan Ave. A helpful map can be found below. The ONC neighborhood spans city council districts 8 & 10 of North Charleston.

Olde North Charleston is one of the oldest communities in the Park Circle Area. Including the busting E Montague Ave business district, often referred to as the “Olde Village” and the emerging Spruill Ave business districts, the Olde North Charleston neighborhood has been considered the cultural and economic hub of the Park Circle area. These commercial corridors are buffeted by beautiful homes ranging is age from approximately 1900 to brand new construction homes. The Olde North Charleston neighborhood is a vibrant and diverse community that aims to be civically engaged and prosperous for generations to come. Thanks to the history of the Charleston Naval Base (1901-1996) and the prowess of Garco Mill (1915-1972), ONC has experienced a significant revitalization and reclamation of industrial properties that have generated a lively and active community.

The residents of this unique community run a civic association for all residents, business owners and concerned citizens to learn more about our community, get involved with local organizations, engage with City administrators & political leaders and do our best to help one another. This organization is not an HOA, but a voluntary club of motivated and engaged individuals of this great neighborhood. Please visit the MEETINGS page for more information on our bi-monthly meetings.
